Explore it! Children's Museum

in Travel and Tourism=>Museums

Mission Statement

The mission of the Explore it! Children's Museum is to promote interactive learning and inspire creativity where children and adults can explore through moments of shared discovery.

Vision

The vision of Explore it! Children's Museum is to establish a permanent location in the Fredericksburg area that is open year round. This location will be a safe, challenging and stimulating environment for all children and their caregivers.

We will create programs and exhibits designed for ages 10 and younger that encourage children to direct their own learning experiences. Children will be able to explore at their own pace in a non-discriminatory setting that encourages multi-generational family interaction.

We have created an interactive and educational traveling exhibit program, "Museum on the Go," to take to family-oriented events and to schools. Our vision is continue this program after our museum doors are open.
